Snorkel head is the top end of the snorkel where the engine takes in air. The standard head is forward facing and has a grille, this keeps rain and larger debris out.
For cars operating in dusty conditions, there are pre-cleaner heads (Donaldson Cyclone and TopSpin): they capture 75–99% dust before the air filter. Choose the head according to the snorkel tube diameter (77, 89 or 102 mm) and the engine's air demand.
