If the car is off-road, but you don't want to change the steering rack, a hidden plate is the easiest way to get to the winch.
The plate attaches to the car frame behind the original bar and the winch is hidden inside the bar. There is no heavy steel bar, the weight of the front end is only increased by the winch and plate, and the car's appearance remains factory-style.
