Short and compact
The Hilux has a long rear end, and climbing out of a ditch it is often the first thing to touch the ground. The short bumper keeps the rear compact, and where a rock still gets in the way, it meets steel.
A stuck truck is often pulled out the way it came in, and that is what the shackle mount points are for. Two hi-lift points let you lift the rear without damaging the bottom edge of the load bed.
Installation
Mounting hardware is supplied and the bumper bolts to the chassis; it can be taken off when needed. Shackle mounts are not included – you can add them from the options.
Delivery
Large and heavy – it comes as palletised freight and will not fit in a parcel locker.
If the manufacturer does not have it in stock, production takes 2 weeks.
The bumper is not homologated, and fitting it is a modification to the vehicle's construction – before using it on public roads, check the Estonian Transport Administration's registration requirements.
