Why this

The Discovery II's axle housing will catch on rocks and ruts before the body hits the ground. A loose axle will take a direct hit and damage can go into the housing. A 4mm steel plate covers the critical spot and slides over the obstacle. Cheap insurance compared to axle repairs.

The part is laser cut and bent on a press, so the shape is exactly the same and the mounting holes are in the right place. The protection is made for the Discovery II, not a universal plate.

Installation

All mounting hardware is included. The cover can be removed if necessary. The actual product may differ from the photo in some details.
