Why does a tank need protection?

The pickup truck's tank hangs low and is the first to fall into a rut. Rocks, stumps, and frozen tracks scrape it with every pass. The aluminum plate absorbs the impact and the tank remains intact. Aluminum also keeps the weight down compared to steel plate.

The plate is laser cut and bent on a press, the final shape is given by hand. This way it fits under the tank without any adjustments. The 6 mm thick aluminum withstands sliding on rocks and bumping into stumps without the plate bending over the tank.

The protection is designed specifically for the new Travo generation and the 2.8D version with a manual transmission, so if you have a car with an automatic transmission, please ask us before ordering.

Installation

All mounting hardware is included. The guard can also be removed just as easily if necessary, for example for maintenance around the tank.
