Hoists is designed for vertical lifting: in the workshop, on a forklift, on a crane and on a work truck. The lifting winch has a brake that holds the load in place, and it is made for hanging loads, which a regular car winch cannot.
Do not use a winch to lift the car or a lifting winch to pull the car out, as they are built for different loads.
