4x4 winches with a pulling force of 2500–6800 kg is designed for SUVs and pickup trucks. You can get the right pulling force by multiplying the total weight of the car by 1.5–2. For example, a winch from 5400 kg is suitable for Land Cruiser and Patrol, and 4500–5400 kg for Hilux and Ranger.

Steel rope is cheaper and can withstand rocks and sharp edges. Synthetic rope is lighter, floats in water and is safer if it breaks because it does not sag like rope. See also the comparison of steel rope and synthetic rope on the product page.

The winch requires a winch bar with a winch mount or a winch mounting plate. You can find suitable ones on your car's page, for example For Land Cruiser or For Hilux.
