The WJ and the winch
The original front end of the Grand Cherokee WJ was not made for a winch. With this bumper the winch gets its place on a 5 mm steel winch mount and the frame mounts take the pulling force into the chassis. Stuck? Winch out, rope round a tree – and even when the tree is off to one side, the mount will not twist or damage the winch or the car.
There are two hi-lift points for lifting the front end when needed. The shackle mount points are there for when someone else pulls you out.
The light holes are ready in the bumper, and you can pick suitable lights straight from the options. You can see all our lights here– ask us what else is available.
Before powder coating the surface is shot blasted and epoxy primed, and all bolts are stainless steel.
Installation
All mounting hardware is included, the bumper bolts to the chassis and is removable. Shackle mounts and lights are not in the kit, you can add them from the options.
Delivery
A large, heavy item – it comes as palletised freight and will not fit in a parcel locker.
If the manufacturer does not have it in stock, production time is 2 weeks.
The bumper is not homologated. Fitting the bumper is a modification to the vehicle – check the Estonian Transport Administration registration requirements before using it on public roads.
