Why on a WJ
A WJ gets taken into the woods, and there the rear end takes more knocks from rocks and ditch edges than the front. The 4 mm steel bumper takes the impact and the 5 mm frame mounts pass it to the chassis. The two hi-lift points let you lift the back of the vehicle off rocks or out of mud, and if you need pulling out from behind there is a shackle mount point for the strap.
Shot blasting, epoxy primer and stainless steel bolts keep the bumper in good shape on salted winter roads too.
Installation
All installation hardware is included; the bumper bolts to the frame and comes off when needed. Shackle mounts are not included; you can add them from the options.
Delivery
A large, heavy item – it goes out as palletised freight and will not fit in a parcel locker.
If the manufacturer has none in stock, production takes 2 weeks.
Fitting the bumper is a modification to the vehicle – check the Estonian Transport Administration registration requirements before using it on public roads.
