In the forest and on the rocks
The 2.0 diesel Ranger's gearbox hangs pretty low. One good rock and the repair bill is high. The 6mm aluminum plate takes the hit. Mud and stumps stay out too.
The plate is laser cut and press-bent, finished by hand. Aluminum does not rust, so winter salt and mud will not eat it away. The 6 mm thickness means that sitting on a rock will not press the plate against the gearbox. Since the protection is easy to remove, it does not interfere with oil changes or other maintenance work. The protection covers both the gearbox and the transfer case, which are the two most expensive components in a 4×4 system under the car.
Installation
The kit includes everything you need for installation. The protection can be easily removed if necessary, for example for maintenance.
