Why the rod in front of the protection

The steering rod runs low under the J80 and is the first to hit rocks and stumps. A bent rod means the car no longer drives straight and the tires wear out. In the forest, it can also mean stalling. The 6 mm protection plate absorbs the impact before it reaches the rod.

The plate is shot blasted, coated with zinc powder and epoxy primer, and then powder coated. The stainless screws remain unscrewable even after several winters.
