Why this
The Patrol Panhard rod sits quite low in front of the front axle. On a rocky forest road or in a deep rut, it's the first thing that hits the ground. A bent rod immediately means rolling problems and repairs. The 4 mm plate absorbs the impact before it reaches the rod.
The manufacturer does not have a certificate for the product.
The surface is shot blasted and coated with epoxy primer before painting, then zinc primer and powder paint. The screws are rust-free, so even after a few winters the protection can be removed without cutting stuck bolts. The cover is designed for work on the track, where mud, water and rocks are everyday.
