In the forest with a van

The Sprinter 4×4 is a good camper van or forestry vehicle, but its tank is large and hanging unprotected. One hard rock on a forest road and the tank is dented or worse. The aluminum plate absorbs the impact and doesn't add much weight.

The plate is laser cut and bent on a press, the finish is done by hand. The 6 mm thick aluminum is stiff enough that even a heavy van's belly won't press into the tank when it rests on rocks. Aluminum doesn't rust and keeps the car's weight lower than a steel plate.

Tank protection is especially important for a camper van or forestry vehicle, as the tank is large and the clearance of a van is less than that of an SUV. A rock in the middle of a forest road will reach the tank before you notice it.

Installation

All mounting hardware is included. The protection is easy to remove if necessary.
