What it changes

The Discovery III is a heavy car and on a rocky road, rocks will reach the gearbox. The aluminium plate allows the bottom to slide over. The gearbox housing remains intact and the oil stays where it belongs.

Aluminum is lighter than steel, so the weight of the car doesn't change much. It doesn't rust, so winter salt and wet mud don't affect the plate. On rocky trails, muddy valleys and mountain roads, the gearbox is now covered from below.

The protection can be removed for maintenance and put back on just as easily.

Installation

All mounting hardware is included. The guard can be easily removed for maintenance.
