What it changes
The open box becomes a lockable storage compartment. Sleeping bags, tools and spare parts stay dry even when the day gets muddy. A roof rack or tent can be placed on the roof rails so that the contents of the box and the roof load do not interfere with each other. The manufacturer emphasizes that, unlike composite covers, the 3 mm aluminum carries the load.
The rails have mounting holes and can be adjusted up and down so that the legs of the roof rack or tent can be set to the correct height. The hatches lift up on gas springs and remain open until the items are removed. Each hatch is locked with a key.
Installation
The hardtop attaches to the box with the included clips, no drilling is required. Gaskets and all mounting hardware are included.
There are six attachment points that keep the hardtop in place on bumpy roads.
