Work and off-road
For many owners the Hilux is a work truck first, and the trailer still has to hitch up after the bumper is changed. That is why this bumper comes with a towbar – you keep your towing, and off-road the rear is still behind steel.
The bumper is made from S700 high-strength steel, which at 3 mm stands up to more than the thickness suggests. Shackle mount points and two hi-lift points are there at the rear for when you need to pull the truck or lift a wheel out of a hole.
Installation
Mounting hardware is supplied together with the towbar. The bumper bolts to the chassis and can be removed. Shackle mounts are not included – you can add them from the options.
Delivery
Large and heavy item – it comes as palletised freight, not to a parcel locker.
If the manufacturer does not have it in stock, production takes 2 weeks.
The bumper is not homologated, and fitting it is a modification to the vehicle's construction – before using it on public roads, check the Estonian Transport Administration's registration requirements.
