The 6mm aluminum is thick enough to slide a rock over the plate, and the crankcase and lower engine parts remain intact.<\/p>\n<p>The plate is laser cut, press-bent and hand-finished so that the mounting holes match those on the car. Aluminum doesn&#039;t rust and is lighter than steel, so the front end of the car doesn&#039;t sag or become heavy. A stone mark on the plate is better than a crack in the crankcase.<\/p>\n<p>The engine is the first thing to hit on a rocky trail because it sits up front and low. If you often ride over rocks or deep ruts, this plate is something you should put down before anything else.<\/p>\n<h2>Installation<\/h2>\n<p>All mounting hardware is included.
