The 6mm aluminium absorbs the impact and allows the car to slide over. A dented plate is cheaper to replace than a broken gearbox housing. Aluminium is lighter than steel, so the weight of the car does not increase significantly.<\/p>\n<p>The plate is laser cut and shaped on a bending machine, then hand finished, so it sits exactly in place and doesn&#039;t rattle. If you drive the Travo in a quarry, on a rocky forest road or on a mountain trail, the gearbox is covered and you won&#039;t have to go to repair it after one hit. Before ordering, check that your car has a manual transmission.<\/p>\n<h2>Installation<\/h2>\n<p>All mounting hardware is included. The plate bolts on and can be removed just as easily if necessary, for example for maintenance.
