The DV series is Comeup's core 4x4 winch: series-wound motor, 3-stage planetary gearbox of hardened steel and a cone brake outside the drum that holds full load without heating the drum.<\/p>\n

It is always advisable to place a \"damper\" that absorbs kinetic energy in the middle of the winch line in case the line snaps while winching. Keep at least 5 wraps on the drum, plus one more turn over those five \u2013 with both cable and rope. This anchors the line firmly to the drum.<\/p>\n |
